Integrations
To share data with trading partners and internal systems, the customer relied on legacy integration platforms, such as Dell Boomi, that:
- Extracted data directly from Dynamics 365
- Transformed data into partner-specific formats
- Exposed data through APIs and feeds
- Delivered data to internal systems such as WMS
As data volumes and partner requirements grew, this architecture became increasingly difficult to scale and maintain. Key challenges included:
- Performance bottlenecks caused by querying Dynamics 365 at scale
- Integration reliability issues, including downtime during application upgrades
- Tight coupling between the ERP, integration logic, and partner-specific formats
- Limited agility to onboard new partners, support additional regions, and accommodate business growth
As a result, the legacy integration architecture became a constraint on scalability, reliability, and business agility, limiting the organization’s ability to respond quickly to evolving business and partner needs.
Solution
C2S modernized the integration landscape by designing and implementing NexFlow—a cloud-native data exchange platform built on Databricks and Azure technologies.
Instead of querying D365 directly for every transaction, NexFlow:
- Decouples ERP systems from trading-partner integrations
- Centralizes and prepares data in a scalable Lakehouse layer
- Exposes standardized, high-performance APIs and feeds
- Reliably delivers data to external trading partners and internal systems (including WMS)
This approach transforms integration from a fragile, point-to-point model into a resilient, data-driven platform.
